Italian tire manufacturer Vittoria announced that it will open a new factory in Thailand in 2022. It intends to invest 20 million U.S. dollars to double its production capacity by investing in a new plant in Thailand. On September 23, 2021, on the land of the new plant, LTT senior managers, local authorities, representatives of Thai and Italian industries, and Italian ambassador Lorenzo Galanti attended the inauguration ceremony of the new plant. Vittoria's new plant is located in the Bangpoo Industrial Zone in Lion Tyres (LTT), Thailand, close to the current LTT headquarters. After the expansion, the dedicated production and office space will be expanded from 36,000 square meters to 52,000 square meters. After the completion of the plant, it is expected to employ about 400 employees and will be completed and put into operation by the end of 2022.

In order to offset the impact of the greatly expanded tire production, the plants on the green area of the project were designed with sustainability in mind. And promised to use solar energy to run factories, implement smart climate control in buildings, and use biological and recycled materials as much as possible. Vittoria has not disclosed these figures, but still claims that the plant will become the world's first carbon-neutral production plant.
