Taiwan's E-Bike Exports Grow 4.35% in The First Quarter Of 2022

From January to March 2022, the export volume of e-bikes from Taiwan, China was 252,525 units, an increase of 4.35% over the same period in 2021. The export value was US$358,057,604, an increase of 13.91%, and the average export unit price was US$1417.19, an increase of 9.16%.
The top three export markets are the European Union, the United States and the United Kingdom. 132,409 vehicles were exported to the EU, a slight decline of 2.36% compared with the same period in 2021. Among them, the largest market is the Netherlands, with 83,221 vehicles, a decline of 5.25% compared with the same period in 2021; the second largest market is Germany, with 27,768 vehicles, an increase of 24.38% compared with the same period last year; France is the third largest market, reaching 7,241 vehicles, compared with the same period last year. An increase of 156.05%. The fourth largest market is Italy, with 5,543 vehicles, an increase of 28.46% over the same period in 2021.
In the first quarter of 2022, Taiwan exported 83,776 vehicles to the United States, an increase of 42.3% over the first quarter of last year. The export value was US$136,417,540, an increase of 79.29% over the first quarter of last year. The average unit price was US$1,628.36, an increase of 26%. 11,356 units were exported to the UK market, a decline of 34.28% compared with the same period in 2021, with an average unit price of US$1533. 5,286 vehicles were exported to Australia, an increase of 78.46% over the same period last year.
