Merida Group's Annual Revenue Growth Of 28.70% in The First May Of 2021

Merida (MERIDA) is selling well in overseas high-end markets and the channel inventory level is low and needs continuous replenishment. The sourcing period when demand has increased significantly has been extended, and the visibility of orders has been extended to September (2022). Recently, due to variables such as shortage of containers and ship scheduling bottlenecks on the export side, some shipments have been delayed. As of the end of May, the completed vehicles (including traditional and electric bicycles) are stranded in inventory and waiting to be exported. The scale exceeds NT$700 million.
Merida Group’s combined sales volume in May was 98,234 units, an annual growth of -6.75%. Net revenue in May was NT$2,352,830,000, an annual growth of -8.88%. From January to May of 2021, the total number of units sold is 509,004, an annual growth of 24.41%. From January to May 2021, the cumulative net revenue was NT$12,785,520,000, an annual growth of 28.70%.
Merida's Taiwan factory (high-end bicycles and electric assisted bicycles mainly exported to the European and American markets) sold 62,623 units in May, an annual growth of 81.24%. Net revenue in May was NT$1,746,500,000, an annual growth of 26.29%. From January to May of 2021, the total number of units sold is 330,076 units, an annual growth of 56.46%. From January to May of 2021, the cumulative net revenue was NT$9,911,190,000, an annual growth of 47.64%.
