The auto parts wholesaler WM SE (Osnabrück) takes over the bicycle manufacturer MTS (Landau) entirely from the German railway subsidiary Schenker, owner of the bicycle brand Fischer.

MTS (Marken Technik Service), which mainly produces auto parts and care products, operates in the bicycle industry under the e-bike brand Fischer and is still majority-owned by Deutsche Bahn subsidiary Schenker and other shareholders. The deal is still subject to approval by antitrust authorities as well as resolutions from Deutsche Bahn's federal ministries and committees.

Bastian Müller, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of WM SE, said: "The MTS Group's strong portfolio of services and brands contributes to further diversification and internationalization of the WM Group. We look forward to our cooperation and extend a warm welcome to the MTS team."

Jürgen Herrmann, CEO of MTS Group, said: "Our sustainability progress, especially our strategic further development into an international branded merchandise company, is now gaining momentum. For our employees, our customer relationships and our For the partner network, this is a strong signal of continuity. As a result, our well-known portfolio of products and brands has great future prospects."

MTS Group is an international branding company with approximately 700 employees in 9 locations around the world. In addition to Fischer bicycles, MTS also produces auto parts, electrical installation materials and work clothes. WM SE employs 5,200 people at 230 locations and generates a turnover of EUR 1.6 billion.
