American High-end Bicycle Brand Ellsworth Changes Hands

American high-end brand Ellsworth (San Diego, CA) has changed hands to new owner RP Designs (Atlanta, USA), an American bicycle parts manufacturer.

Mountain bike specialist Ellsworth has been focusing on full suspension mountain bikes before operating as a separate division of RP Designs and will continue to focus on the design and manufacture of premium mountain bikes.

Rudi Pienaar, CEO of RP Designs, said: “RP Designs’ core role is to drive rapid and targeted innovation in products for the cycling industry, and the Ellsworth brand is a perfect fit. Not only do we incorporate the company’s core technology into every Ellsworth product, after These products will be standard or optional with RP Designs technology, which we hope will be of great value to riders and those involved.”

The previous owner of Ellsworth's heritage brand, established in 1991, was ASG Group, which Ellsworth took over in May 2018.
