2020 Eurobike Officially Announced Its Cancellation!

The special edition Eurobike 2020, originally scheduled to be held from November 24-26, 2020, is officially cancelled. After a reassessment of the coronavirus crisis, Friedrichshafen (Mried Friedrich shafen) finally made this decision. Organizers are now developing a live broadcast format for next year. This will meet the future needs of the industry. The date and details will be announced in due course.

Klaus Wellmann, CEO of Eurobike’s venue and owner, Messe Friedrichshafen, said: “In early May, we decided to move Eurobike 2020 from September to November. During this period, we have been paying close attention to health and safety developments, and everyone’s special interest in Eurobike. The active registration of the version has kept us optimistic. Unfortunately, the recent development of the new coronavirus crisis has made it extremely impossible to improve travel conditions until the end of November. And the temporary ban on accommodation also constitutes another Obstacles. Therefore, we need to reconsider and act responsibly. In this context, we have made a heavy determination to postpone the Eurobike bicycle industry gathering in Friedrichshafen until 2021 year".

Due to the increase in the number of new coronavirus infections, travel restrictions related to countries outside of Europe have recently been extended to more and more European countries and Germany. In addition, after many companies have issued stricter internal travel bans, many participants have also announced that they will not be able to participate in the exhibition, so that the 2020 Eurobike Special Edition will not be able to fulfill its mission of combining supply and demand. In the end, there was no choice but to cancel this year's exhibition.

According to Eurobike exhibition organizers, exhibitors’ participation fees and visitors’ tickets will be compensated and refunded as soon as possible. The exhibition plan and date for 2021 will be announced separately.
